Group Certification

Organic group certification programme has been undertaken, for the first time in Karnataka, of organic farmers under the Sahaja Samrudha banner. Internal Control System have been followed for quality assurance and are certified by IMO control Private Limited (India) a Swiss based group.

What is certification and why do we need it?
The certification process aims to convert the growing area to comply with requirements of this standard within a period of 3 years.

Certification offers valuable assurance that an acceptable standard is followed while producing. Organic farming, as well as other organic related entities, could easily become mismanaged and mistrusted if not placed under some well thought rules, guidelines, and regulations that are set by qualified specialists in the field.

Organic products meet stringent standards Organic certification is the public's assurance that, products have been grown and handled according to strict procedures without persistent toxic chemical inputs and generally involve a set of production standards for growing, storage, processing, packaging and shipping.

- Sahaja technically is assisting Organizations and Farmers groups in setting ICS and Group certification process. Some of the organizations and groups Sahaja provides technical guidance are Era Organics, Samuha - Kopal, Prawardha - Basavakalyana and Spoorthy
