Kitchen and nutrition gardens can play an important role in enhancing dietary diversity for better nutrition to farming families. Promoting nutrition gardens as a sustainable practice to improve nutrition by contributing significantly to dietary diversity for especially Women and Children. Kitchen gardens are encouraged and women manage such gardens that creates and additional income. About 350 kitchen gardens were designed during the pandemic. As the women farmers who had earlier set up kitchen gardens said that during the lockdown gardens provided them and their neighbours with fresh vegetable and fruits when there was no food in the markets to buy, it was the kitchen gardens that provided them with food and nutrition. So about 350 kitchen gardens were established that provided diverse and rich diet, to build their immunity and resilience.
