Prakash is a retired Supervisor-HR at BEML(Bharat Earth Movers Limited), Bangalore Complex, an avid theatre artist mostly featured as comedian has done several plays and TV serials. Despite being one of the directors at Sahaja, during its initial days Prakash found fulfillment in volunteering for Sahaja, where he along with his wife Mrs. Shashikala, actively engaged in voluntary efforts to maintain publication stock and oversee distribution without any expectation of personal gain. Their altruistic contributions reflect their genuine passion for the organization’s mission and their desire to make a positive impact on rural communities.

In the pursuit of sustainable living and a deeper connection with nature, Prakash embarked on a journey to establish a terrace garden on his rooftop. With ingenuity and determination, he transformed his terrace into a green oasis, cultivating nearly 100 plants of various species, including flowering plants, herbs, and vegetables. Through his terrace garden, Prakash not only beautified his living space but also demonstrated the feasibility of urban gardening and the potential for individuals to contribute to green spaces within urban environments.

Recognizing the importance of harnessing rainwater for sustainable use, he installed rainwater harvesting systems on his property in 2006, which effectively captured and stored rainwater for household use. His proactive approach to rainwater harvesting as a model for others has motivated many to adopt similar practices.
